Alvaro Alvalos Involved in Deadly Pedestrian Crash on Highway 12 at Verano Avenue

 
SONOMA, CA (January 19, 2023) — Alvaro Alvalos was involved in a fatal pedestrian accident on Highway 12 at Verano Avenue.
 
According to the Napa California Highway Patrol Center, the fatal pedestrian crash happened around 8:00 p.m. Monday. For unknown reasons, 24-year-old Alvalos struck a 36-year-old pedestrian while turning onto Highway 12 from westbound Verano Road. His 2019 Toyota Tundra made contact with the pedestrian at an unknown speed in the south crosswalk.
 
Alvalos pulled over immediately after and waited for authorities.
 
Soon after, Sonoma Valley Fire Department officials reached the scene and confirmed the pedestrian dead at the scene. Authorities have yet to identify the victim’s name pending notification of next of kin.
 
Investigators do not believe drugs, speed or alcohol played a factor in the accident. Yet if anyone has more information, please call the CHP.
