Alfred Marvray IV Dead, Destiney Bake Charged in 2-Vehicle Crash at Century Boulevard and Western Avenue

 
LOS ANGELES, CA (February 15, 2024) — Alfred Marvray IV died in a high-speed two-car accident at Century Boulevard and Western Avenue.
 
According to Los Angeles police officers, the two-vehicle crash happened around 11:45 p.m. Monday. For possible DUI reasons, 26-year-old Destiney Baker was speeding southbound on Western Avenue. Upon approaching a red light, her Tesla Model 3 blew through the intersection and struck an eastbound Chevrolet Malibu, driven by Alfred Joseph Marvray IV.
 
Soon after, paramedics arrived to find the Chevy Malibu several yards from the point of impact and its 28-year-old driver dead at the scene, confirmed by the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner.
 
Baker, a resident of Hawthorn, was placed under arrest and booked on suspicion of murder. Authorities believe DUI might have factored into the crash.
