Alexander Verhoeven Dies in Motorcycle Accident on Highway 99 near 12th Avenue

 
SACRAMENTO, CA (August 14, 2023) — Alexander Verhoeven died in a motorcycle crash on Highway 99 near 12th Avenue.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the deadly multi-car accident happened around 10:25 p.m. Thursday. For an unknown reason, 27-year-old Alexander Verhoeven, of Orangevale, struck the rear of an Acura as he was switching lanes. Upon impact, the man was ejected from his motorcycle, landing in the northbound lanes where at least one car struck him.
 
Soon after, CHP investigators arrived and found the victim on the road with fatal injuries.
 
Authorities did not confirm the factors leading to the accident. However, police do not suspect alcohol and drugs to have played a part.
