30-Year-Old Man Dies after Struck by Hit-and-Run Driver in North Hollywood

 
NORTH HOLLYWOOD, CA (May 14, 2023) – Alejandro Garcia was killed in a hit-and-run crash in North Hollywood late Friday evening on May 12.
 
The fatal crash happened around 11:15 p.m. at Vanowen Street and Vineland Avenue. According to the Los Angeles Police Department, Garcia was crossing the street when he was hit by a vehicle driven by a 57-year-old woman.
 
Garcia suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. He was 30 years old. His city of residence was not immediately available.
 
The driver of the vehicle fled the scene after the crash. She was located several blocks away but it was unknown whether she was taken into custody.
 
Further investigation is underway.
