Abram Parra-Pantoja Involved in Accident with Sheriff’s Patrol Vehicle on Niles Street in Bakersfield

 
BAKERSFIELD, CA (August 31, 2021) – Officers are now looking for Abram Parra-Pantoja following a hit-and-run accident on Niles Street on August 28.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at Virginia Street shortly after 12:45 AM.
 
Based on reports, Abram Parra-Pantoja was in a black 2004 Chevy Silverado traveling north on Virginia and approaching Niles prior to the crash. At the same time, a marked patrol vehicle was west on Niles approaching Virginia. Then, the Silverado ran a red light and entered the intersection, hitting the patrol vehicle. Subsequently, it struck a traffic pole before overturning in an adjacent parking lot. Afterward, the driver of the Silverado ran away on foot.
 
As a result, a sheriff’s deputy in the patrol car was hurt in the crash. Two women passengers in the Silverado suffered major injuries and a man in the pickup had minor injuries. Also, both vehicles had major damage.
 
Officers are still looking for 27-year-old Abram Parra-Pantoja of Arvin. In addition, they ask anyone with information to call the CHP Bakersfield Area Office at 661-391-6600.
