Four-Vehicle Accident on West 39th Street in Leimert Park Sends 9 People to Hospital

 
LEIMERT PARK, CA (March 30, 2024) – Nine people were hospitalized in a four-vehicle accident on West 39th Street in Leimert Park Thursday afternoon on March 28.
 
According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, a Metro bus, a silver SUV and two other vehicles collided in the 3500 block of West 39th Street near Crenshaw Boulevard. The SUV ended up on its side and another vehicle sustained extensive damage.
 
Firefighters evaluated at least 14 people, including occupants from other vehicles. Three people were taken to hospitals in moderate condition, while six others were taken to hospitals in fair condition.
 
A Metro bus driver and a passenger were among nine people taken to hospitals.
 
An investigation into this crash is ongoing.
