Elderly Pedestrian Dies after Struck by Car on Hamilton Streete in Rancho Cucamonga

 
RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CA (January 9, 2022) – An 84-year-old woman died in a pedestrian accident on Hamilton Street in Rancho Cucamonga on Tuesday morning.
 
Around 10:47 a.m. on January 3, the woman was walking on the north sidewalk in the 9500 block of Hamilton Street when a vehicle struck her. The driver told officers that she did not see the pedestrian while she was in the process of backing out of her driveway, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.
 
Emergency crews arrived and rushed the woman to a local hospital, where the victim later succumbed to her injuries.
 
The driver remained on scene and cooperated with authorities.
