Man Hospitalized in Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Crash on Sonoma Mountain Parkway in Petaluma

 
PETALUMA, CA (January 9, 2023) — A man was injured in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident on Sonoma Mountain Parkway near Washington Street Wednesday.
 
According to Petaluma Police officers, the pedestrian accident occurred around 5:43 p.m. Wednesday. As a 45-year-old Petaluma man tried crossing Sonoma Mountain Parkway, an oncoming driver struck him in the lane closest to the sidewalk. The pedestrian was subsequently thrown into the far lane where another car slammed into him.
 
Neither driver stopped to help the victim.
 
Soon after, paramedics arrived and brought the man to Memorial hospital with moderate injuries. As of Friday, he remains in stable condition.
