Patrick Farrell Dead, 1 Hospitalized after Two-Vehicle Crash on Victoria Avenue in Oxnard

 
OXNARD, CA (October 25, 2021) – Authorities identified 84-year-old Patrick Farrell as the driver killed in a two-vehicle accident on Victoria Avenue, late Monday morning.
 
According to the Oxnard Police Department, the incident happened on October 18, at about 11:00 a.m. An eastbound Jeep Grand Cherokee SUV reportedly attempted to cross Victoria Avenue when it collided with a southbound BMW sedan near Wooley Road.
 
Emergency crews transported the Jeep driver, later identified as Farrell, to Ventura County Medical Center. Unfortunately, Farrell was later pronounced dead.
 
Meanwhile, responders also transported the BMW driver to VCMC for treatment of moderate injuries.
 
Investigators closed the area between Wooley Road and Leeward Avenue for an hour to make way for a follow-up investigation.
