Hit-and-Run Crash at Saratoga Library Leaves Elderly Man with Life-Threatening Injuries

 
SANTA CLARA COUNTY, CA (December 15, 2022) – An 80-year-old man was badly injured in a hit-and-run crash at the Saratoga Library late Friday afternoon on December 9.
 
Just after 5:00 p.m., deputies responded to the Saratoga Library on Saratoga Avenue after receiving a report of a vehicle striking a pedestrian. Upon arrival, they found the elderly man suffering from life-threatening injuries.
 
Paramedics took the man to a hospital for proper treatment.
 
A witness described the suspect’s car as a dark-colored sedan. They told officers that the driver took off southbound toward downtown Saratoga.
 
At this time, the suspect remains at large. The Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office is handling the investigation.
