Mikio Garcia Among Hurt in DUI 2-Car Collision at Clinton Avenue and Maple Avenue

 
FRESNO, CA (December 15, 2022) — Mikio Garcia suffered injuries in a two-car accident at Clinton Avenue and Maple Avenue.
 
According to Fresno California Highway Patrol, the two-vehicle crash happened around 12:40 a.m. Tuesday.
 
For possible DUI-related reasons, 22-year-old Mikio Joseph Garcia ran a red traffic light at a high rate of speed. Subsequently, his southbound Dodge Grand Caravan struck a northbound Honda Civic at the intersection as the Honda attempted a westbound turn on a green light. Due to the brute force, the Honda traveled two hundred feet from the point of impact.
 
In the wake of the collision, the 58-year-old Honda driver suffered major injuries. Meanwhile, Garcia, of Fresno, whose car collided with a steel fence and an apartment complex before catching on fire, attempted to flee. However, bystanders were able to detain him.
 
Once the medical staff at Community Regional Medical Center clears him, police will book him into Fresno County Jail for DUI.
