Infant Dies after Thrown Out of Car by Mother, Struck by Vehicle on 405 Freeway in Culver City

 
CULVER CITY, CA (April 9, 2024) – An 8-month-old girl was hit and killed by a car on 405 Freeway in Culver City early Monday morning on April 8.
 
The fatal crash was reported around 4:30 a.m. at the Sepulveda Boulevard exit. According to the California Highway Patrol, the child had been in her older sister’s arms when their mother pushed them out of their SUV.
 
At least one car then struck infant on the road.
 
First responders pronounced the infant dead at the scene.
 
The older sister, a 9-year-old girl, was able to get to the shoulder of the freeway. She suffered moderate injuries.
