37-Year-Old Man Dies after Struck by Hit-and-Run Driver in Mead Valley

 
MEAD VALLEY, CA (April 9, 2024) – Alfredo Aparicio died in a hit-and-run crash in Mead Valley Monday morning on April 8.
 
The fatal crash happened sometime between 3:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. on Cajalco Road, just east of Decker Road. According to the California Highway Patrol, Aparicio was struck by an unknown vehicle that fled the scene.
 
A passing motorist spotted Aparicio on the roadway and called 911.
 
Aparicio was pronounced dead at the scene. He was a 37-year-old Perris resident.
 
At this time, the search for the hit-and-run suspect is ongoing.
 
Officers urged anyone with information to contact the Riverside CHP office at 951-637-8000.
