DUI Suspect Crashes into Van on 15 Freeway in Cajon Pass Injuring Eight People

 
CAJON PASS, CA (March 31, 2023) – Eight people were hurt in a DUI crash on 15 Freeway in the Cajon Pass Sunday evening on March 26.
 
The crash happened around 10:19 p.m. about a half a mile before the Oak Hill Road exit. According to the California Highway Patrol, a silver Honda Odyssey van carrying eight people, two adults and six children, were traveling northbound on the freeway.
 
A Dodge pickup truck, occupied by two male adults, was traveling at an unknown speed when it rear-ended the van.
 
When rescue teams arrived, they located both vehicles on the right shoulder with major damage.
 
All occupants in the Honda were transported to a hospital with minor to unspecified injuries.
 
Meanwhile, the driver and passenger of the Dodge were both unharmed.
 
The driver of the Dodge was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.
 
The CHP is still investigating the crash.
