8 Hospitalized in Accident on Wilshire Boulevard at Alvarado Street [Westlake, CA]

Pickup Truck Hits Street Vendors Including Pedestrians on Wilshire Boulevard in Westlake Community

 
WESTLAKE, CA (June 14, 2022) – Eight people were hospitalized in an accident on Wilshire Boulevard in the Westlake community of Los Angeles on Saturday morning, June 11.
 
The accident happened around 8:35 a.m. at Alvarado Street near MacArthur Park. According to the Los Angeles Police Department, a black 2001 Ford F-150 was heading westbound on Wilshire Boulevard when it went on the sidewalk.
 
It then crashing into several street vendors and pedestrians, including two children.
 
The driver, passenger, one male pedestrian, three female pedestrians, a female 8-year-old child and a male 8-year-old child sustained injuries. Paramedics took all of them to a hospital for treatment.
 
Meanwhile, three other people, two men and a woman, declined transportation.
 
LAPD Central Traffic detectives are still investigating the accident. They urged anyone with further information to call them at 213-833-3713 or Crime Stoppers at 800-222-8477.
