CALISTOGA, CA (June 14, 2022) — Robert Craig suffered serious injuries in a motorcycle accident on Highway 128 at Tubbs Lane on Monday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the two-vehicle accident happened around 9:45 a.m. For unknown reasons, 82-year-old Craig of Santa Rosa reportedly tried to overtake 60-year-old John Bell as Bell attempted a left turn from Tubbs Lane onto eastbound Highway 128.
However, Craig’s eastbound traveling 2020 Yamaha motorcycle collided with Bell’s 2020 Dodge van.
Due to the impact, Craig was ejected from his motorbike and onto the ground.
Shortly after, paramedics arrived and took Craig to Providence Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital for treatment of major injuries while Bell stayed at the scene, reporting no injuries.
At this time, officers have not issued any charges or citations. However, an ongoing investigation should confirm more details.
