Elderly Woman Suffers Several Fractures after Struck by Hit-and-Run Driver on 54th Street in Colina Del Sol

 
COLINA DEL SOL, CA (December 5, 2023) – A 78-year-old woman suffered several fractures in a hit-and-run crash on 54th Street in Colina Del Sol late Friday afternoon on December 1.
 
According to the San Diego Police Department, the elderly woman was crossing in the 3700 block of 54th Street mid-block, from east to west when a vehicle struck her around 5:22 p.m.
 
After the crash, the driver of the vehicle fled the scene.
 
Responding paramedics rushed the woman to a hospital with a fracture to her right pelvis, ankle and scapula.
 
At this time, the hit-and-run suspect remains at large.
 
SDPD Traffic Division is handling the investigation.
