74-Year-Old Man Fatally Struck by Driver on Vista Chino Drive in Cathedral City

 
CATHEDRAL CITY, CA (June 7, 2023) — A 74-year-old man hit by a car on Vista Chino Drive and Avenida Quintana died from his injuries.
 
According to the Cathedral City Police Department, the fatal pedestrian accident happened around 1:25 a.m. Tuesday. Upon responding, officers found a 74-year-old man who had been hit by a car traveling eastbound on Vista Chino Drive.
 
Not long after, paramedics pronounced the victim dead at the scene. Authorities have withheld his name pending notification of relatives.
 
Traffic investigators do not know if the pedestrian died from the accident or from experiencing a medical emergency. However, the Riverside County Coroner’s Office will respond with the final cause of death.
