73-Year-Old Elida Rodriguez Dies in San Rafael Pedestrian Accident on G Street at 4th Street

 
SAN RAFAEL, CA (May 18, 2021) — Elida Rodriguez died in a pedestrian accident on G Street at 4th Street Tuesday morning.
 
According to San Rafael Police, the pedestrian crash occurred around 8:00 a.m. For unknown reasons, a driver in a box truck heading northbound struck 73-year-old Elida Delgado Rodriguez. Per reports, the San Rafael woman was crossing in a marked crosswalk at the time of the impact.
 
At this time, investigators have not confirmed if speed played a factor in the crash but have ruled out intoxication as an explanation.
 
Thus far, police have verified that the driver had stopped at the traffic light before proceeding through the intersection. However, if anyone has additional details, please contact the San Rafael Police.
