Man Hospitalized in Selma Motorcycle Accident on Highway 99

 
SELMA, CA (May 18, 2021) — A man suffered major injuries in a motorcycle crash on Highway 99 near Floral Avenue Tuesday.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident occurred around midnight in the southbound lane of Highway 99. For unknown reasons, a driver in a silver Nissan rear-ended the motorcyclist, throwing the rider onto the highway. Subsequently, four vehicles, including a big rig, struck the motorcycle.
 
Shortly after, paramedics responded and transported the victim to Community Regional Medical Center in downtown Fresno. At this time, CHP officers plan to look into DUI as a possible source of the accident. However, if any witnesses have further insight into this crash, please contact the CHP.
