Elderly Man Dies after Hit by Sanitation Truck on South Pacific Avenue in San Pedro

 
SAN PEDRO, CA (December 7, 2022) – A 70-year-old man died in a pedestrian accident at South Pacific Avenue and 13th Street on Monday morning.
 
The fatal accident happened around 5:10 a.m. on December 5. According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the elderly man was crossing the street when a Los Angeles sanitation truck hit him.
 
First responders pronounced the man dead at the scene.
 
The name, age and hometown of the victim were not immediately available.
 
No arrests have been made at this time. Police are still investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident.
