Pedestrian Dies after Struck by Car on White Lane in South Bakersfield

 
BAKERSFIELD, CA (December 7, 2022) – A woman was killed in a pedestrian accident at White Lane and Union Avenue on Sunday evening.
 
The fatal accident happened shortly after 7:00 p.m. on December 4. According to the Bakersfield Police Department, the woman was crossing the street in the 200 block of East White Lane outside of a crosswalk when a westbound car struck her.
 
As a result, the woman suffered major injuries and died at the scene. She was not yet identified.
 
The driver of the car remained on scene and cooperated with police.
 
BPD said speed, alcohol and drugs do not appear to be a factor in the crash. They asked anyone with information to call them at 661- 327-7111.
