Man Killed in Motorcycle Crash on Highway 33 in Ojai

 
OJAI, CA (March 19, 2024) — A 66-year-old man died in a motorcycle accident on Highway 33 near Ojai Avenue.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the deadly motorcycle crash happened around 12:15 p.m. Monday. For an unknown reason, a 34-year-old woman of a 2017 Dodge Caravan crossed the southbound lane into the path of a motorcycle. Subsequently, the southbound 2020 Yamaha R1 rider collided with the Dodge Caravan.
 
Soon after, emergency personnel arrived and found the motorcyclist with fatal injuries. Reports described him as a 66-year-old male from Oxnard. The female driver from Fillmore suffered minor injuries to her right leg.
 
Authorities did not indicate the cause of the accident. However, they are looking into the crash further. If any witnesses have more information, please call CHP at 805-662-2640.
