66-Year-Old Aloma Waith Killed in Multi-Car Accident on Highway 99 [Fresno, CA]

Aloma Waith Dies in Multi-Car Crash on Highway 99 near North Avenue

 
FRESNO, CA (April 27, 2022)Aloma Waith died in a multi-car accident on Highway 99 near North Avenue on Tuesday morning.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the multi-vehicle crash happened around 3:00 a.m. For unknown reasons, 66-year-old Waith veered her 2005 Dodge Stratus into the center divider before she overcorrected and struck a wall on the right shoulder.
 
Her car became disabled in the fast lane following the impact.
 
Subsequently, a driver of a Nissan Murano stopped behind Waith’s Dodge as she tried to remove the bumper from her vehicle. However, an oncoming Jeep Cherokee was not able to slow down, consequently hitting the Nissan and pushing it into Waith.
 
She suffered fatal injuries in the collision.
 
Soon after, a Hyundai Sonata, a Chevrolet Silverado and several other cars became involved in the chain-reaction collision. As a result, that also injured other drivers and passengers in its sequence of events.
 
At this time, investigators plan to look into this case from all angles to determine the liability. If anyone has more information on this fatal accident, please contact the CHP.
