65-Year-Old Demiris Reid Killed in Car Crash on Cajalco Road at Una Street

 
MEAD VALLEY, CA (January 31, 2022) — Demiris Reid died in a car accident on Cajalco Road at Una Street, early Friday morning.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the two-vehicle collision happened around 5:50 a.m. For unknown reasons, two vehicles, one of which had been described as a Dodge Durango, collided in southwest Perris.
 
Shortly after, CHP officers and Cal Fire-Riverside reached the scene to find witnesses and Good Samaritans helping two women involved in the crash.
 
During the rescue, officials found 65-year-old Reid of Nuevo suffering from major traumatic injuries and another woman trapped inside the other car. Following rescue attempts, firefighters freed the trapped woman from the vehicle 45 minutes later.
 
However, Reid succumbed to her injuries at the scene at 6:08 a.m.
 
At this time, officers have no information as to what led to the accident. However, any witnesses with helpful information should contact the CHP.
