Pedestrian Dies after Struck by Two Hit-and-Run Drivers on Venice Boulevard

 
VENICE, CA (January 31, 2022) – A man was killed in a hit-and-run crash on Venice Boulevard near Brenta Place, early Friday morning.
 
The accident happened 12:20 a.m. on January 21. According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the victim was standing between the westbound lanes of Venice Boulevard when a tan sedan struck him.
 
The impact of the crash sent the man into one of the lanes of Venice Boulevard. After that, a light-colored 2012 Range Rover also hit him.
 
After the crash, both involved drivers fled the scene without rendering aid.
 
Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics attempted saving the man, but he died at the scene. His name was not immediately released pending notification of next of kin.
 
Police described the driver of the Range Rover as a man in his 20s with dark blond hair and has a thin build.
 
A reward of up to $50,000 is available to residents who provide information leading to the arrest identity, arrest and conviction of the drivers.
