6 Hurt After Multi-Vehicle Crash Sends Fire Truck Crashing Into House at West Lane in Stockton
STOCKTON, CA (April 19, 2024) — Six people suffered various injuries after a multi-car accident sent a fire truck crashing into a home at West Lane and Alpine Avenue.
According to Stockton police officers, the multi-vehicle crash happened around 7:00 a.m. Wednesday. For an unknown reason, an eastbound sedan struck a fire engine driving northbound on West Lane. Subsequently, the fire truck, which had its lights and sirens on as it responded to a fire call, crashed into a pickup truck, causing that vehicle to roll over. Meanwhile, the fire truck plowed into a nearby home.
Minutes later, Stockton police arrived and found six people with injuries, including the sedan and pickup truck driver who suffered critical injuries. The four firefighters inside the fire engine also received hospital care for non-life-threatening injuries. Authorities did not specify the cause of the accident. However, an investigation into the details should confirm any unclear information.
