9 Hurt in Inmate Bus Crash on Figueroa Street in Los Angeles

 
LOS ANGELES, CA (April 19, 2024) — Nine inmates were injured in a bus accident on Figueroa Street near Sunset Boulevard on Tuesday evening.
 
According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, the inmate bus accident happened around 6:35 p.m. For an unknown reason, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department bus crashed in downtown Los Angeles in the 600 block of South Figueroa Street. Soon after, paramedics responded to the scene and tended to nine inmates on board the bus between 18 to 24 years old.
 
At the time of the report, authorities did not say what led to the accident. However, we will release more information once we acquire further details.
