Two Vehicles Collide on Highway 1 in San Gregorio Sending Six People to Hospital

 
SAN GREGORIO, CA (June 15, 2023) – Six people were hospitalized in a two-vehicle accident on Highway 1 in San Gregorio Monday on June 12.
 
The accident happened near San Gregorio Beach, according to CalFire. Two vehicles collided on the highway in unclear circumstances.
 
Firefighters with Coastside Fire and the San Mateo County Fire Department responded and found a total of six injured patients. They transported them to a hospital, where one was in critical condition, one sustained moderate injuries, and four others had minor injuries.
 
Photos by CalFire showed traffic backed up along with highway as a result of the crash and one patient was transported by helicopter.
 
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
