Juvenile Suffers Major Injuries after Hit by Vehicle on Beardsley in Oildale

 
OILDALE, CA (January 17, 2024) – A 4-year-old girl was severely injured in a pedestrian accident on Beardsley Avenue in Oildale Saturday afternoon on January 13.
 
The accident happened around 3:25 p.m. near Chester Avenue at an apartment complex parking lot. According to the California Highway Patrol, a driver was backing up her vehicle and hit the child who was walking behind the vehicle.
 
Paramedics arrived soon after and took the child to Memorial Hospital with major injuries.
 
At this time, the crash remains under investigation.
