4 Hurt, Fiery Multi-Vehicle Crash at Grant Line Road in Sloughhouse

 
SLOUGHHOUSE, CA (August 29, 2023) — Four people suffered injuries in a fiery multi-car accident at Grant Line Road and Jackson Road.
 
According to the Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District, the three-car crash happened Monday. Under unclear circumstances, three vehicles, including a garbage truck, collided in Sacramento County.
 
As a result, at least one car knocked down a high-voltage power line, causing a fire to erupt and spread to vegetation on Grant Line Road. In addition, the three vehicles caught fire.
 
Soon after, paramedics reached the scene and transported three patients to a nearby hospital while medics treated one person at the scene before releasing the individual.
 
Just before 4:00 p.m., firefighters extinguished the vegetation fire, but Jackson Road remained closed to traffic.
