DUI Driver Arrested after Three-Vehicle Accident on 2nd Street in Brentwood

 
BRENTWOOD, CA (December 13, 2023) – Four people sustained injuries in a DUI accident on 2nd Street near Oak Street, Sunday evening.
 
According to the Brentwood Police Department, the incident happened on December 10, at about 7:20 p.m. A speeding southbound vehicle reportedly hit another vehicle that was lawfully passing through the intersection.
 
The impact caused a third vehicle to become involved in the collision.
 
Emergency crews transported the driver of the first vehicle and three occupants of the second vehicle to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
 
Authorities later arrested the driver of the first vehicle, who was identified as a 23-year-old Oakland man. He was booked into Contra Costa County jail on a charge of driving under the influence.
