Afternoon Rollover Crash on Highway 152 in Los Banos Kills Three People

 
LOS BANOS, CA (February 15, 2023) – Three people died in a rollover accident on Highway 152 in Los Banos Tuesday afternoon on February 14.
 
The fatal accident happened around 4:00 p.m. just west of Hilldale Avenue. According to the California Highway Patrol, a Mercedes-Benz was traveling eastbound on the highway. At the same time, a Toyota Tacoma was heading westbound. A Toyota Highlander was also going westbound directly beside the Tacoma.
 
The driver of the Mercedes from Long Beach lost control of his vehicle, causing it to travel across the dirt median of the highway. It then overturned directly on top of the Tacoma and caused debris from both vehicles to strike the Highlander.
 
Three three occupants of the Tacoma died at the scene.
 
The driver of the Mercedes suffered major injuries and was flown to a local hospital.
 
All occupants of the Toyota Highlander were not injured.
 
Drugs or alcohol do not appear to be a factor in this crash, according to CHP. Further investigation is underway.
