3 Juveniles Hospitalized in New Cuyama Rollover Accident on Highway 166

 
NEW CUYAMA, CA (June 16, 2022) — Three juveniles were injured in a rollover crash on Highway 166 near School House Canyon Road on Tuesday.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the single-car accident happened around 3:48 p.m. For unknown reasons, a vehicle rolled off Highway 166 just east of School House Canyon Road. As a result, the vehicle ended up about 50 to 100 feet on the side of the highway.
 
Shortly after, Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Deputies and Fire Department personnel reached the scene and found three juveniles with various injuries. While paramedics brought two patients to Marian Regional Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries, a team brought a third patient to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital with major injuries.
 
At this time, investigators have yet to confirm the primary cause of the accident. However, an investigation into the case should confirm any outstanding details.
