3 Hospitalized, Police Chase Ends in Car Crash on Gage Avenue in South Los Angeles

 
SOUTH LOS ANGELES, CA (February 17, 2023) — Three people were injured after a police chase ended in a car accident on Gage Avenue at San Pedro Street.
 
According to Los Angeles police officers, the incident happened around 7:40 p.m. Thursday. LAPD units first noticed a stolen pickup truck and attempted to make a traffic stop. However, the driver fled at a high rate of speed, leading police on a brief chase that lasted just over one minute.
 
Subsequently, the stolen truck ran a red light before it crashed into a sedan, driven by a woman, who suffered critical injuries in the accident. Although the suspect and his passenger tried to flee from the accident, police were able to arrest them and take them to a hospital for treatment of pain.
