3 Hurt after Car Hits Power Pole on Highway 17 in Los Gatos

 
LOS GATOS, CA (October 4, 2022) — Three people were injured after a car crashed into a power pole on Highway 17 near Vasona Lake on Wednesday.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the single-car accident happened around 9:50 p.m. Upon responding, Santa Clara County Fire, CHP, Santa Clara County EMS and Pacific Gas and Electric responded just south of Highway 85.
 
Upon arriving, they found a car that had drifted off the road and crashed into a power pole.
 
Paramedics found three of the four vehicle occupants with minor to moderate injuries and rushed them to a hospital for treatment. It appears the rescue posed a challenge for firefighters as a small fire erupted from the downed power line.
 
At this time, investigators have not indicated the leading cause of the accident. However, an investigation into the details should confirm what led to the crash.
