SANTA MARIA, CA (October 4, 2022) — A teen was injured in a bicycle accident on Broadway and Fesler Street on Friday afternoon.
 
According to Officer Andy Brice, the bike accident happened around 3:40 p.m. Under unclear circumstances, a driver struck a teenager at the intersection. Due to the crash, the unidentified victim suffered serious injuries and was brought to Cottage Hospital by a medical helicopter.
 
According to police, the teenager was not wearing a helmet while riding the bike at the time of the crash. As for the driver, he or she stayed at the scene and cooperated with police investigators.
