3 Hospitalized, Multi-Car Crash on Sanborn Road in Salinas

 
SALINAS, CA (March 16, 2023) — Three people were injured in a 3-car accident on Sanborn Road near Highway 101.
 
According to the Salinas Fire department, the multi-vehicle collision happened just before 2:00 p.m. on March 9.
 
For unknown reasons, three cars crashed and left three people with a range of injuries. Paramedics arrived soon after and took the three patients to a local trauma center. Meanwhile, officials closed the No. 1 lane of South Sanborn Road near Highway 101 for 30 minutes until they cleared the road of debris.
 
Reports included no information on if speed, distracted driving or DUI played as factors in the collision. However, an ongoing investigation should confirm more details.
