3 Killed, 1 Hospitalized in Fiery Single-Car Crash on Whitewood Road in Murrieta

 
MURRIETA, CA (July 11, 2023) — Three people died in a fiery solo car accident on Whitewood Road near Alta Murrieta Drive.
 
According to Murrieta police officers, the single-car crash happened around 11:00 p.m. Saturday. For an unknown reason, a vehicle lost control while speeding and crashed in the 39400 block of Whitewood Road. The vehicle, described as a Tesla, was traveling in an unknown direction before crashing into a parking lot of Alta Murrieta Elementary School.
 
Soon after, Murrieta Police and Murrieta Fire and Rescue responded to find three people inside the vehicle. Once they extinguished the fire, they uncovered the three occupants who perished at the scene. Another victim was found outside of the car and rushed to Inland Valley Medical Center in Wildomar.
 
Authorities do not have proper identification of the victims and no confirmation if impairment played a factor. However, if any witnesses can help police officers, please call the Police Traffic Bureau at 951-461-6306.
