2 Women Killed in Car Accident on Highway 92 near Foster City Boulevard [Foster City, CA]

Car Crashes into Parked Big Rig on Highway 92 in Foster City, Two Die

 
FOSTER CITY, CA (August 7, 2022) – Two women died in a car accident on Highway 92 in Foster City on Friday morning, August 5.
 
The accident happened around 9:44 a.m. east of Foster City Boulevard, just past the San Mateo-Hayward Bridge. According to the California Highway Patrol, a silver Ford Fusion was traveling eastbound when it veered to the right for unknown reasons.
 
It then drove onto the right shoulder where it crashed into the back of a parked Volvo big rig and then went into a ditch.
 
As a result, the female driver and the female rear passenger of the Fusion died at the scene. They were ages 48 and 36.
 
The 54-year-old woman who was in the front-passenger seat was transported to Stanford University Hospital with major injuries.
 
All three women were Hayward residents.
 
Authorities did not rule out drugs or alcohol as a factor. The crash is still under investigation.
