2 Women Hurt in Multi-Car Crash on 21st Street

 
BAKERSFIELD, CA (November 17, 2021) — Two women were injured in a multi-car accident on 21st Street at Union Avenue Tuesday evening.
 
According to Bakersfield Police, the incident occurred around 5:48 p.m. For unknown reasons, a driver in a full-sized truck was speeding prior to approaching the intersection. Subsequently, the driver passed several vehicles and collided with roughly 10 vehicles.
 
As a result of the crash, a woman suffered critical injuries after Good Samaritans pulled her from a burning vehicle. Meanwhile, another woman complained of minor injuries.
 
Soon after, authorities responded and investigated the scene which was littered with lemons.
