SAN LEANDRO, CA (June 16, 2021) — Two people were injured in a multi-car accident on Hesperian Boulevard at Fairmont Drive Tuesday morning.
 
According to the Alameda County Fire Department, the crash involved three cars and occurred around 7:40 a.m. For unknown reasons, three cars collided at the intersection and one car sheared a fire hydrant.
 
Shortly after, firefighters responded and began sawing into one vehicle to free one person. Meanwhile, the second car that had struck a nearby fire hydrant sent water shooting 30 feet high.
