Two Bicyclists Suffer Serious Injuries after Colliding on Catalina Boulevard in Point Loma

 
POINT LOMA, CA (May 8, 2023) – Two men were seriously injured in a bicycle accident on Catalina Boulevard in Point Loma Friday morning on May 5.
 
According to the San Diego Police Department, two 57-year-old men were riding in the 400 block of Catalina Boulevard alongside each other shortly before 10 a.m., when one of the bicycles crashed into the second one.
 
Both riders were thrown onto ground after the impact. Paramedics transported both to a hospital for treatment of serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.
 
The cause of the crash and factors involved remain under investigation.
