Two Cars Collide on Balboa Boulevard in Lake Balboa Killing Both Drivers

 
LAKE BALBOA, CA (February 9, 2023) – Two people died and another person was critically injured after a two-car accident at Balboa Boulevard and Victory Boulevard.
 
The fatal accident happened around 3:45 a.m. on Wednesday, February 8. According to the Los Angeles Police Department, a Chevrolet Corvette was speeding at 90 to 100 mph before running a red light and slamming into a Honda Accord.
 
The Accord was split into two and overturned on its roof. The sedan’s engine ended up in the strip mall parking.
 
A woman in her mid 20s who was driving the Accord died at the scene. Her name was not immediately released.
 
Paramedics rushed both the male Corvette driver and his male passenger to a hospital in critical condition.
 
Sadly, the driver also succumbed to his injuries at the hospital. The male passenger sustained severe injuries, including broken ankles.
 
An investigation into this tragic crash is underway.
