2 Workers Hospitalized After Tree Falls on Car in Shaver Lake

 
SHAVER LAKE, CA (February 6, 2024) — A tree falls on a car in Shaver Lake near Bretz Mill, leaving two people with major injuries.
 
According to the Shaver Lake Fire Department, the incident occurred around 2:30 p.m. Sunday. For unclear reasons, a pine tree toppled onto a Chevy Silverado pickup, harming two people inside. Soon after, fire paramedics responded to the scene to find two victims trapped in the wreckage. After freeing the individuals, paramedics took them to a hospital for treatment of major injuries.
 
Authorities did not say what led the tree to fall on the car. However, officials are looking into all probable causes.
