PORTERVILLE, CA (December 5, 2023) — Two people suffered injuries in a head-on accident on Highway 65 near Highway 190.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the two-car accident happened on December 1 around 11:00 p.m. For unknown reasons, a 2007 Honda Civic was traveling north in the southbound lanes. Subsequently, the Honda collided with a southbound 2019 Dodge Challenger in the No. 1 lane.
 
Due to the head-on crash, the Dodge driver suffered moderate injuries and received care at a hospital. Meanwhile, the Civic driver suffered major injuries and was airlifted to a nearby hospital for care.
