SOUTH LOS ANGELES, CA (May 16, 2023) — Two people were injured after a garbage truck crashed on the 110 Freeway near Manchester Avenue.
 
According to reports, the two-vehicle crash happened Friday morning. For an unknown reason, a dumpster truck and another vehicle collided and sent debris tumbling into a nearby neighborhood. Upon impact, the trash truck hit a sound wall and caught on fire. Some debris and chunks of cement that catapulted on the street near the freeway damaged parked cars.
 
On the street level, no one reported any injuries, but the drivers of the garbage truck and the other vehicle suffered unspecified injuries and required hospital transportation.
