2 Hurt in Fresno Car Accident at Clinton Avenue
FRESNO, CA (February 17, 2021) — Two people were injured in a car accident at Clinton Avenue and Van Ness Boulevard Monday afternoon.
According to officers, the pedestrian crash happened around 1:00 p.m. For unknown reasons, an eastbound van crashed into a Mini Cooper, sending both cars onto a nearby lawn.
Arriving police found one person pinned underneath a vehicle. Shortly after, paramedics responded and transported the Mini Cooper driver and the victim pinned underneath the car to a hospital.
During the investigation, police learned that the driver of the van tried running away, but attempts fell short. They also learned that the van might have had run the red light before the collision.
Coincidentally, police received a report of a reckless driver minutes before the crash. The report detailed a description that matched the van driver in this accident.
