Two-Vehicle Crash on Western Avenue in South LA Sends 2 People to Hospital Including LAPD Officer

 
SOUTH LOS ANGELES, CA (October 3, 2023) – Two people were hospitalized in a two-vehicle accident at Western Avenue and 94th Street in South Los Angeles early Sunday morning.
 
The accident happened around 1:30 a.m. on October 1. According to the Los Angeles Police Department, an LAPD patrol vehicle and another car collided in unclear circumstances.
 
Paramedics arrived and rushed at least two people to a hospital, including a police officer.
 
The driver of the car was also taken to a hospital and eventually booked. The charges were not immediately known.
 
It was not immediately clear if the patrol vehicle was marked or unmarked.
 
An investigation into this crash is ongoing.
