DUI Crash on Highway 132 in Modesto Kills 3 Women

 
MODESTO, CA (October 3, 2023) – Marianne Clemons, Pamela Cross and Rosa Clavel were killed in a DUI crash in Modesto Thursday morning on September 28.
 
The fatal crash happened around 7:30 p.m. along Highway 132 near Gates Road. According to the CHP, 49-year-old Wyatt Gordon of Modesto was speeding in a Lexus when he drifted onto the shoulder, veered left and went into the path of a Hyundai sedan. The Lexus kept going before overturning into a field north of the highway.
 
Clemons, a 67-year-old Patterson resident, and Cross, 64 years of Modesto, were in the Hyundai. Both of them died at the scene, according to the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office.
 
Clavel was pinned in the Hyundai and airlifted to the hospital, where she also died. She was 44 years old from Modesto.
 
Clemons and Cross were identified as sisters.

Meanwhile, Gordon was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.

Further investigation is underway.
